Kerala Service Rules - Part III (Pension - General Rules)

Pension Rules

  1. Non-Applicability to New Employees: The KSR Part III Pension Rules do not apply to employees appointed on or after April 1, 2013.

  2. Introduction of Simplified Pension Rules: The current Simplified Pension Rules were implemented starting November 14, 1966.

  3. Future Good Conduct: Every pension grant is subject to the implied condition of future good conduct.

  4. No Pension for Resignation or Dismissal: No pension, gratuity, or Death-Cum-Retirement (DCR) Gratuity will be paid in cases of resignation, dismissal, or removal from service.

  5. Pension Classifications: Pensions are categorized into the following four types:

    1. Compensation Pensions

    2. Invalid Pensions

    3. Superannuation Pensions

    4. Retiring Pensions
