Eligibility for Artificial Limb Treatment:
- Disabled State Government employees are entitled to Special Casual Leave for up to 15 days at a time (including transit time both ways) to attend an Artificial Limb Centre or stay in a hospital for replacement or treatment of artificial limbs.
- This leave can be granted multiple times in a calendar year if required, as per Rule 16, Section II, Appendix VII.
Eligibility for Illness Related to Physical Handicap:
- Physically handicapped employees eligible for conveyance allowance can avail Special Casual Leave for up to 15 days in a calendar year for treatment of illnesses related to their physical handicap.
- This leave applies to treatment in a hospital or at residence, subject to submission of a medical certificate from authorized Medical Officers, as per Rule 16A, Section II, Appendix VII.
Exclusion of Intervening Holidays:
- The Special Casual Leave period will not include intervening holidays, as specified in Circular No. 01/2016/Fin dated 08/01/2016.
Non-Accrual for Earned Leave:
- The Special Casual Leave period will not be considered as duty for the purpose of accruing Earned Leave, as per GO(P) No. 17/2022/Fin dated 15/02/2022.
