Special Casual Leave for Angioplasty

Introduction: Special Casual Leave for employees undergoing angioplasty was introduced vide GO(P)No.153/2019/Fin, dated 06/11/2019.

Eligibility and Duration: Employees who undergo angioplasty may be granted Special Casual Leave for a period of 30 days, subject to the conditions under Rule 19, Section II, Appendix VII, Part I, Kerala Service Rules.

Combination with Other Leaves: The Special Casual Leave can be combined with other leaves defined in Rule 77(i) of Kerala Service Rules, Part I, including:

Earned Leave

Half Pay Leave

Commuted Leave
-
Leave Not Due
-
Leave Without Allowance

Ordinary Casual Leave

Public Holidays: The period of Special Casual Leave excludes intervening public holidays.

Multiple Availments: The leave may be availed on more than one occasion within a calendar year, if needed, but the total duration must not exceed 45 days in a calendar year.

Earned Leave Accrual: As per GO(P) No.17/2022/Fin, dated 15/02/2022, the Special Casual Leave period will not be considered as duty for the purpose of accruing Earned Leave.
